Sukhvinder Singh
Born in 1963, Singh completed his B.F.A. in Painting from Chandigarh in 1985 and his M.F.A. in Painting from Delhi in 1988. He did research work in water base wood block printmaking & M.F.A. in printmaking from Tama Art University, Tokyo under the scholarship award of Japanese Government. He did work in nontoxic printmaking at Bristol, U.K. with Charles Wallace India trust fellowship. He received the Lalit Kala Academy research grant for Printmaking at Garhi, New Delhi in 1990. He has held several solo shows. His works have been shown in India, USA, Canada, Nepal, UK, including International Biennale in Taiwan, Malaysia, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Bangladesh, Bharat Bhawan Bhopal, India and the 1st International Print Biennale India in New Delhi, 2018. He received several awards and honors including National Lalit Kala Akedmi Award in 1987. He taught at the Delhi College of Art as a visiting and contractual professor, Institute of Fine Arts Modinagar Gzb. He is currently working at Apeejay Institute of Design, New Delhi since 2004. His works are a part of various private collections and of in India and abroad. He is a founder Member of Indian Printmakers Guild.
