Born into a family of artists in Agartala, Titas Das grew up surrounded by the serene beauty and cultural vibrancy of northeastern India. She began her artistic journey at a local art school before pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, graduating with First Class honors in 2003, followed by a Master’s degree from Rabindra Bharati University in 2005. The contrast between Agartala’s tranquil simplicity and Kolkata’s bustling urban life profoundly shaped her artistic perspective. After teaching art at OP Jindal School, Hisar, she moved to Delhi in 2008, joining the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute. There, the city’s multicultural ambiance further enriched her creative expression, which continues to be deeply rooted in her childhood memories and evolving surroundings.
