Listen to an engaging conversation on “Rediscovering Traditional Narratives” between distinguished speakers: Sundeep Bhandari, Dr. Latika Nath, and Ina Puri, where they discussed the Gond, Bhil and Warli Art forms from the heartland of India, pioneering artists such as Jangarh Singh Shyam & Bhuri Bai, The Gondwana Art Project initiative, the evolution of modern Indian Tribal Art and its future. The speakers were introduced by Lubna Sen, Director of The Art Route. This discussion was part of the inauguration event of the Exhibition “Songs of the Earth” presented by The Art Route Gallery in collaboration with The Gondwana Art Project. The exhibition was co-curated by Sundeep Bhandari and Lubna Sen.

Meet The Speakers

• Sundeep Bhandari – He is the Founding Trustee of Craft and Community Development Foundation which is established as a not for profit initiative, helping artisans in the arts and crafts sector.
• Dr. Latika Nath – She is an Indian author, photographer, and wildlife conservationist. Known as ‘The Tiger Princess’, she has championed tiger conservation since 1990. She is also an avid collector of Gond art .
• Ina Puri – She is a renowned writer, biographer, art curator and collector. Ina’s three-decade-long engagement with the arts embraces tribal art and folk theater to contemporary performing arts, visual arts and literature.
