Alita Chandra Wig

Alita Chandra Wig, daughter of renowned artist Avinash Chandra, has always been captivated by colour, line, and pattern. A self-taught abstract artist and professionally trained textile designer, she has honed her unique style over four decades. Her artistic language is rooted in abstract-expressionism, where she communicates emotions and interprets life itself through her work. Her diverse colour palette, resembling Pantone shade cards, ranges from monochrome to varied shades of the same colour, and she manipulates forms on paper until she achieves the perfect balance. Her work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions both in India and internationally, with shows in New Delhi, Mumbai, Milan, Madrid, and Hong Kong. Featured in private collections worldwide, her art has been lauded for its lyrical quality, blending order and chaos to reflect the complexities of life. Her journey as an artist is a testament to her deep connection to her craft, continuously pushing the boundaries of expression through visual narratives that resonate with the human experience.
