After completing his B.F.A in painting from College of Art Delhi, he pursued his M.F.A in printmaking from Kala Bhavana in the environs of Santiniketan. Ananda went to Camberwell College of Art and Craft in the UK to complete his research associateship in autographic printmaking. A practicing artist for many years, he has worked with various mediums and techniques, and has taken up a keen interest of participating in major national and international events including various Biennials, Triennials and especially the Xth Triennial in India. His works have been part of all vital exhibitions and festivals in India and in other countries like U.S.A, UK, France, Norway, Russia, Germany, Japan, Korea, Nepal, Bangladesh, Egypt and China. Ananda is the recipient of many awards including the National Academy Award- L.K.A New Delhi, A.I.F.A.C.S, New Delhi, Charles Wallace India Award and the Nagasawa Art Park Project Award. His works are also a part of the collections of many prime galleries, institutions and museums including the N.G.M.A, New Delhi. He has attended and organized various art camps and workshops including “LES MOIS DE LE ESTAMPE” in Paris. Ananda lives and practices art in Delhi and NCR.
